Texting While Driving Ban

The cartoon is showing the problems that derive from texting while driving. I agree that texting has become overly popular and is becoming potentially dangerous if done while driving. If you are looking at your phone you are not watching the road and next thing you know, you're dead.

What it Takes to be Herndon High's New Prinicple

By the beginning of December Herndon will have a new Principle. Although the students may not be able to see much of what the Principal does he or she is key to how the school is run and therefore whether the school will change for the better or for the worse. I feel safe to say that most students appreciated Mr. Cooper when he acted as the HHS principle for a couple of weeks. Never before had I felt that my Principle was so involved with my school. Mr. Cooper frequently stepped into students classrooms and attended many school-wide activities. His annoucments on the intercom give the sense that he is part of the school and not some superior that dominates all of HHS. I hope that the new Principle is able to reflect Mr. Cooper's actions by being a friendly and sociable role model that stays involved with the student body. The High school simply needs a Principle that is willing to get to know the students and make change that will benefit our education.
