The Health Care Reform
The Health care reform is now focused on the bill that is now being disputed through the House and the Senate. Both groups are putting there energy into having the bill reach a couple goals. They want; a truly universal health policy with respect for human life and dignity, access for all with a special concern for the poor and inclusion of immigrants, pursuing the common good and preserving pluralism including freedom of conscience and variety of options, restraining costs and applying them equitably across the spectrum of payers. They are pushing to finish before the winter break, but the people will have to sit and wait to see the changes that will be made and what the outcome will be.

I like your post because it outlines the tenets of the bill. I've never seen that with a blog before. I see a ton of blogs with the controversies betweent the Republicans and Democrats outlined, but never with the ideologies of the bill. I think it is important to know what the demo's and repub's are argueing about. It allows the general public to obtain a more accurate outlook on the bill, and allow them to choose sides with a more educated decision.
ReplyDeleteI think the goals of the health care bill are good and will help our country. However, I think that the controversy over the bill being socialist will stop it from being passed.
